Kiki, who grew up in Japan, returned to Taiwan and serendipitously met Momo, but they weren't particularly familiar with each other... until that spring when they both participated in a student movement sit-in. Sitting together on the cold asphalt, watching Taipei's gloomy sky, they spoke about their hopes for the future and their respective pasts.
It was the student movement that gave them the opportunity to get to know each other better!
He said: "I'm lucky to have met you at the best time. My world has become beautiful, cute, gentle, and sometimes exasperating because of you. But it's all worth it. You are the girl I want to protect."
She said: "In front of others, he's a cool engineer, but in front of me, he's a guy who loves chocolate and singing. 'You say I'm your sun, brightening your life. If I'm your sun, then I think you are my moon... silently supporting me, like the moon, gently and compassionately embracing me.'"
